April Kigeya

April is a graduate of UW-Madison with a BA in Legal Studies. She has a long track record of program management, leadership, community engagement, and outreach through previous roles, including UW-Madison, Target Corporation, and Unity Point Health Meriter. Her work extends into the community by her service on the Madison Area Diversity Roundtable, City of Madison Affirmative Action Commission, and by serving on the Overture Center Community Advisory Board. In April’s current work as Special Project Manager for the Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness, Outreach Specialist for the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, and as Chief Operations Director for Urban Triage, she continues to foster her community engagement and outreach. In addition, April is a graduate of Urban Triage's first Supporting Healthy Black Families Cohort.
