Kay MacKenzie is currently the Director of Operations at Centro Hispano Milwaukee (CHM), a multi-service, nonprofit organization. She has a master’s degree in business management from Cardinal Stritch University and certificate in human services administration-nonprofit management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In over 20 years of experience at CHM, she has also held positions as an instructor, adult education manager and programs manager. She is a past president of the Greater Milwaukee Literacy Coalition and has co-chaired numerous community-based initiatives.
She has served on advisory, curriculum and client reporting committees for the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS). She also performed program assessments and grant funding evaluations. She is passionate about the critical role that literacy provides in raising the equity of those most in need in our communities.
