Presenters: Judy Mortrude, CLASP

Norma Gallegos Valles, Latino Academy of Workforce Development
Holly McCoy, Literacy Services of Wisconsin

Description: Are your students heading in a meaningful direction? How do you as a literacy agency help them get there? WIOA has introduced a regional partnership structure.  Come hear Judy Mortrude from CLASP, and state and local members discuss ways in which community-based literacy programs across the country and here in Wisconsin engage with local workforce and postsecondary partners to serve people already working  in low-paid jobs, immigrants with language barriers wanting to find more meaningful work, adults working to complete a high school equivalence degree, workforce partner building career pathways, technical college bridge programs and employers seeking talent.
