Using Patient-Centered Labels to Improve Safety and Compliance

All pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists are invited to attend!

- Improve patient adherence
- Improve patients' ability to understand how to take their medicines
- Increase patient satisfaction, safety, and health
You will also learn:
- How health literacy impacts patient understanding
- Tips for modifying sigs to improve adherence effective for patients
- About a project that has participating Wisconsin pharmacies on the leading edge of best pharmacy practices and how your pharmacy can also participate.

Learning objectives:
- Identify at least two ways health literacy affects use of prescription medications
- Explain four of the standards included in the USP guidelines for patient-centered labels
- Identify at least two benefits for pharmacies and patients from implementing the USP standards
