Anniversary Family Frozen Fete

Sunday, March 15, 2015
3:00 pm6:00 pm
McKee Farms Park, 2930 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg

Wisconsin Literacy is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and you’re invited to the party! Join us March 15 for our free Family Frozen Fête at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg. Play broomball on the pond and join in a sing-a-long to the kids’ favorite movie, “Frozen.” Other games and activities will keep the whole family entertained. Warm up in front of the bonfire with a cup of hot chocolate, chili, hot dogs or chili-dogs which will be available for purchase. The fête will welcome author Rob Shindler who will share insights from his book “Hotdogs and Hamburgers – Unlocking Life’s Potential by Inspiring Literacy at Any Age.”

The festivities will kick off at 3 p.m. with organized games and refreshments. At 4 p.m., Marta Hansen from Sun Prairie’s Piano Gal Shop will lead the Frozen sing-a-long, and at 5 p.m. you can ease the evening chill near the bonfire.

You will also have an opportunity to learn about the important work Wisconsin Literacy does and how you can get involved. We support 73 member literacy agencies statewide that improve the literacy skills of adults and families so that they can be better parents, citizens and workers. We are hosting this free Family Frozen Fête to celebrate three decades of changing lives through literacy. Please come join in the fun!
