Jennifer de Montmollin

Jennifer de Montmollin currently works as Director of Member Services for YWCA USA, the federation’s national office, following two decades with YWCA Southeast Wisconsin (formerly YWCA of Greater Milwaukee), where she began as a case manager for public assistance programs. Following roles as case management manager and TANF director, in 2012 Jennifer was appointed Chief Program Officer for the organization and was instrumental in its expansion to Racine later that year. Jennifer's work locally focused primarily on economic advancement, including expansion of the organization’s adult education work and development of financial wellness and workforce development programs designed to provide education for both program participants and decision makers, guided by systems change goals. Jennifer found a long-term home at YWCA because the organization’s mission unapologetically centers the pursuit of justice.
Jennifer transitioned to the YWCA’s national office in 2022 where she provides coaching and thought partnership for YWCA executive and board leaders around the country. She is passionate about the role of governance in supporting and elevating the work of nonprofits and every day sees firsthand how board engagement contributes to organizational success. She has supported the development of over 30 boards in her role and finds deep fulfillment in this work as among the most consequential for the sector’s health.
Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in housing studies and family social science from the University of Minnesota and business management certification from Marquette University. She's an avid reader, volunteer, and finder of obscure travel destinations. Other sources of joy include people, coffee, the outdoors, art, food, and photography. Her dinner-cooking, laundry-sorting, bathroom-cleaning husband makes it possible for her to do the work she loves while being a connected mama to their 15-year-old son, 17-year-old daughter, and their complicated but adored terrier, Comet.
Jennifer lives in Shorewood, Wisconsin on Milwaukee's east side.
