Forward Conference
This fall, Wisconsin Literacy will partner with the Correctional Education Association of Wisconsin (CEA-W) to co-sponsor The Forward Conference: Advancing Adult, Corrections, and Family Education, held September 27–29, 2026, at the Hilton Appleton Paper Valley in Appleton.
This combined event will bring together a broader and more diverse audience while expanding opportunities for presentations, exhibitors, and collaboration, creating a dynamic environment for learning, networking, and sharing innovative practices across Wisconsin.
A hotel block will be available at the venue, and registration will open in early May.
Call for Proposals
Wisconsin Literacy and CEA-W are now accepting presentation proposals for the 2026 Forward Conference. Presenters are invited to share their expertise, promising practices, and innovative approaches with adult education and literacy professionals from across the state.
Proposals are due July 1, and submissions should include presenter information, a short bio, accommodation needs, and whether additional presenters will be involved.
Call for Award Nominations
Wisconsin Literacy and CEA-W are also seeking nominations for the 2026 Forward Conference Awards. Help recognize outstanding students, graduates, instructors, administrators, programs, businesses, and literacy advocates who have made a meaningful impact in adult literacy or correctional education.
Awardees will be honored during the awards luncheon on September 29. Nominations are due June 26, and all nominees will be featured in a slideshow during the luncheon.
