Join us April 2-3, 2019 (pre-Summit sessions on April 1) for the Wisconsin Health Literacy Summit in Madison, WI.
You'll hear from respected experts in the field who take us beyond our everyday discussions and broaden our scope on health literacy. From community health to academia, literacy to communication, and many other professions, the summit theme focuses on "a sharper view through the lens of health literacy".
Six plenary sessions, twenty-five breakout sessions, a poster presentation and networking opportunities provide attendees with the opportunity to learn more about health literacy and evidence-based interventions, as well as to network with experts and colleagues in the field from many states and some other countries.
All Summit registrants must register online and create a user profile. You can view registration instructions here.
Celebrate National Volunteer Week and join other members of the SE Region for a tutor training on April 12. Featured is Dr. Wilma Robinson and a training on implicit bias. There will also be additional breakout sessions, including one on Plain Language. Lunch is included.
This event is a cooperative program from Literacy Services and Wisconsin Literacy and open only to members of Wisconsin Literacy.
