Hear directly from literacy agencies that have established and operated programs in jail settings, including what they've learned along the way. Presenters will share their experiences developing and operating literacy programs in partnership with their local county jails. Presenters will highlight the unique partnerships that make these programs possible, the types of literacy and education services they provide, and how they work together to meet the needs of incarcerated learners.
Attendees will gain insight into different approaches to providing literacy education in jail settings and practical ideas for developing or strengthening partnerships between county jails and literacy agencies in their own communities.
