As Wisconsin’s HSED competencies are revised, educators have a critical opportunity to strengthen alignment between standards, instruction, and the realities of multilingual learners in HSED 5.09 programs. This interactive session will focus on resource-sharing, collaborative reflection, and systems-level feedback to ensure access and success for multilingual learners.
The session will also provide structured opportunities to evaluate how newly revised HSED competencies support will be used to modify existing curricula and identify resource gaps.
Attendees will contribute actionable feedback for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) regarding needed resources, professional learning, and guidance to better serve adult multilingual learners in HSED 5.09 programs.
