Jamie Kobs is the Digital Literacy and Tutor Training Project Manager for Wisconsin Literacy. She helps prepare volunteer tutors across the state to teach adult literacy, ELL, and digital skill building.
Previously, she taught high school English, French, and reading for 15 years in Wisconsin and Illinois. Teaching through a pandemic helped her empathize with anyone who must navigate the digital world in order to access education. She is passionate about working to remove barriers to this access.
Outside of work, Jamie volunteers as a virtual ELL tutor for her local literacy agency and an election official in her community. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and supporting her two sons at ultimate frisbee games and karate classes.
