This 90-minute course offers supported exploration of the online resource Northstar so that tutors can feel prepared to introduce the digital literacy curriculum to their students. Tutors will navigate the platform as a student and have time to try out the assessments and online practice. They will also role play teaching with Northstar teacher-led lesson scripts. Tutors should have a Northstar account before registration.

This 60-minute course explains best practices for teaching digital skills to adults. Concrete examples are used to illustrate each best practice.

Do you want to feel more comfortable and confident hosting Zoom meetings? This 90-minute course will give you an opportunity to ask questions and practice basic Zoom skills (screen share, chat box, minimize/maximize Zoom) as well as some advanced skills (whiteboard, annotation, video sharing).
Online forms can be used to create surveys, quizzes, polls, and more. Learn how to build your own so you can streamline assessment and data collection and help learners practice online form completion (digital literacy) and data analysis (numeracy).
