Wisconsin Health Literacy offers training and consulting services customized to meet your organizational needs. Trainings focus on the numerous ways that health literacy impacts care delivery, health outcomes, and public health. Trainings are tailored to meet your intended audience, specific learning objectives, and timeframe. All trainings fully employ adult learning principles and can include engaging activities to reinforce learnings.

Interactive sessions are customized for each organization and include presentation material, large and small group activities, and time for discussion. They can be provided individually or packaged as desired.
Wisconsin Health Literacy is striving to raise awareness of the integral connection between health literacy and health equity. Only by fostering more inclusive interactions between those who give and those who receive health care services, can we really meet people where they are. Health literacy plays a vital role in ensuring that all feel valued and achieve good health.
Experienced professionals, including physicians, offer presentations on health literacy and patient centered communication. Content includes how health literacy affects organizations and its customers. Presentations are customized to meet an organization’s specific needs and audience and include actionable steps and strategies the audience can use immediately.
WHL can provide revisions and recommendations for a wide range of communications including documents, transcripts, websites, apps, and other services.
Review of an organization’s health literacy environment determines how the flow of crucial information, organizational practices, and institutional policies impact patient safety; patient, provider, and staff experience, and financial success.
